How we check facts
Last updated
AideDex tracks 16 personal AI agents and assistants. It answers practical questions: can I get it in my country, on which plan, what can it do, what does the vendor say about safety, and what changed. It is not a review site.
Where facts come from
- Primary sources only for facts. Vendor launch posts, pricing pages, help-center articles, release notes, terms, and for open-source projects the GitHub repository and its API. Each fact on the site links to the page that states it.
- Press coverage can tell us that something changed, but a fact is published only when we can point to a primary source for it. If we cannot verify something, we leave it out rather than guess.
- No bulk scraping. Pages are opened and read; we respect each vendor's terms and robots rules and store only the facts (a price, a country list, a date), never copies of pages.
What "checked" means
Every fact carries the date we last opened its source and confirmed it said what we show ("Source · checked Oct 22"). The date changes only when we re-check; we do not refresh dates to look current. A fact not re-checked for more than 30 days is shown in amber with "re-check due".
Country states
- Available: the vendor lists the country, or says the agent is available worldwide and does not exclude it.
- Paid plan only: available there, but the cheapest plan that includes the agent costs money.
- Waitlist: the country is covered but access is through a waitlist.
- No country list published: the vendor names no countries and no restrictions. We never treat that as "available everywhere"; the sign-up flow is the only test.
- Not listed: the vendor lists other countries. Not announced is not the same as blocked.
- Excluded: the vendor explicitly excludes the country (for example the EEA, Switzerland or the UK).
Prices
Prices are in US dollars per month as the vendor publishes them for US customers. "Price from" is the cheapest plan the vendor says includes the agent. "Free" means a free plan includes it. "Price not published" means the vendor names the plan but does not publish its price on the page we checked: we do not fill the gap from third-party sites. Taxes, regional pricing and annual discounts are not shown unless the source states them.
Capabilities and safety
Capabilities ("reads email", "makes purchases", "runs when the app is closed") and safety statements (approval before sensitive actions, whether it sees passwords, training on your data, isolation) are what the vendor documents. "Not stated" means we found no statement; it is not a "no". We report the vendor's claims; we do not audit them.
When sources disagree
If two sources state different things, the page shows both claims, each with its source, under "Sources disagree", until one is confirmed.
Neutrality
- No scores, stars, "best" picks or rankings. Lists are alphabetical or by date.
- No paid placement. Vendors cannot pay to be listed, moved or removed.
- No affiliate links. Outbound links go to official pages only.
- No first-hand testing claims. We do not write "we tested" unless we did, and we have not.
Use of AI
Research and drafting for AideDex are done with AI assistance. Every published fact is checked against the primary source it links to, and the data is validated automatically before each build: no fact without a source and a check date, no check date in the future, at least three sourced answers per agent FAQ.
Corrections
Every agent, comparison, country and guide page has a "Report an error" link. Write to [email protected]. Corrections are listed on the corrections page.
